Terms of Service

CosmiX Predict ("the platform") is a community prediction market project operated by CosmiX DAO, a decentralized community. By accessing or using the platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

CosmiX Predict is provided as an experimental, educational, and community tool. It allows participants to express predictions on the outcomes of real-world events using the CSMXA token. The platform is not a financial service, brokerage, exchange, or gambling operation, and it is not intended to be used as such.

CSMXA is a community token used within the CosmiX ecosystem. It has no guaranteed monetary value, is not backed by any asset, and should not be treated as an investment, security, or financial instrument. Participation on the platform does not constitute financial activity and carries no expectation of profit.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the platform. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the platform is lawful in your jurisdiction. Prediction markets may be restricted or regulated in some regions — you use the platform at your own discretion and responsibility.

The platform interacts with self-custodial Web3 wallets. You are solely responsible for the security of your wallet, private keys, and recovery phrases. The platform never has access to your private keys and cannot recover lost access. Any transaction you sign is final and irreversible.

Core platform functions run on smart contracts deployed to the Arbitrum One blockchain. Smart contracts are experimental software and may contain bugs or vulnerabilities. Blockchain transactions are irreversible. You acknowledge and accept the technical risks inherent to blockchain technology, including but not limited to contract errors, network congestion, and loss of funds.

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. CosmiX DAO does not guarantee that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that market outcomes will be resolved without error. Markets are currently resolved manually, and while reasonable care is taken, resolution errors are possible.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CosmiX DAO, its contributors, and participants shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the platform, including loss of tokens, smart contract failures, resolution errors, or downtime. You use the platform entirely at your own risk.

You agree not to use the platform to engage in unlawful activity, to manipulate markets, to abuse or attack platform infrastructure, or to interfere with other participants. The platform may restrict access in cases of abuse, fraud, or security threats.

Markets may be created by the platform or proposed by participants subject to approval. Markets are resolved based on the outcome of the underlying event. Resolution is currently performed manually by platform administrators. In the event of an ambiguous, disputed, or unresolvable market, a market may be cancelled and bets refunded.

CosmiX DAO may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the platform at any time. These Terms may be updated; the "Last updated" date reflects the latest revision. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

CosmiX DAO is a decentralized community and not a registered legal entity. These Terms describe the community's expectations for use of the platform. Any disputes should first be raised through the community channels in a good-faith effort to resolve them.
